The song tells the story of Thom and a woman he liked, he saw her in bars but found her too good for him. He never had the courage to approach her and he stalked her, it was only after getting drunk that he finally took the first step, this woman got scared and rejected him. The Creep of the song is none other than Yorke who recounts his insecurities.
