Thales (of Milet) is a greek philosopher and scholar, born in Milet around 625-620 BC et dead around 548-545 BC also in the same city. He was the author of many mathematise research, especially in geometry. He is on of the seven wise men of ancient greek and the founder of the Milesian school. Many feats have been attributed to him, like the calculation of the height of the great pyramid or the prediction of an eclipse, as well the the theorem of Thales.
