Shakespeare was born in Stratford-upon-Avon in 1564. In 1582 he married Anne Hathaway. He was 18 and she was 26 years old. Then he went to London. He wrote many famous tragedies. People went to see Romeo and Juliet or Hamlet at the Globe Theatre in London. He died in Stratford-upon-Avon in 1616.
