Intro

The USA has always been a country which has made people dream. It has attracted many migrants throughout its history with the Pursuit of Happiness and the American dream. But is it still the case? To answer this question, I am going to see on the one hand the advantages of living in the USA, and on the other hand I am going to have a look at its disadvantages

I Advantages

a/ First, Countries with a lot of opportunities for work. High standard of living compared to other countries. Americans believe that anyone can be successful if they work hard and are smart enough

b/ Then, you discover another culture (Thanksgiving, other ways of thinking) and maybe learn a new language. From an intellectual point of view it is always a good to be in contact with new things.

c/ Finally, the diversity of people from all other the world as well as the size of this country and its different landscapes contribute to make it an interesting country.  You can travel forever without needing a passport. There are all kinds of different environments, from huge cities to deserts to forests to the Arctic. Besides the wildlife is diversified, the animals are everywhere.

II disadvantages or drawbacks

A/To begin with, studying in American colleges can cost you a lot of money. Most students have to borrow money to be able to go to universities.

B/Then, the heathcare system is a real issue because poor people do no have access to it because it costs a lot of money

C/To finish with, violence is part of the American culture because the second Amendment grants American the right to bear weapons.(ici tu parleras de ce que tu as écrit sur la violence, les armes, les gangs et les ghettos)

Conclusion

As a conclusion, I think that living in the USA has a few advantages but its drawbacks are more numerous.

Pros; (1) Easy to start a business- easy to fire useless employees (2)Jobs are relatively easy to get. (3) gas/petrol is relatively cheap (4) road system is great (5) people complain, so service is generally pretty good (6) servings are enormous (7) beer is cheap (8) there is no specific class system-money talks, no matter what part of society you started from (9) if you work hard, you’ll be rewarded (50–60hrs per week is expected for that goal) (10) men and women don’t have too many hang-ups about going out with one another , on a date, after one meeting to see if they like each other (11) Basic food, clothes, household appliances etc are generally inexpensive (12) Americans are very welcoming, as long as you don’t condemn any aspect of the culture- but this caveat is true for most countries. (13) they like to have fun-although if you are unused to it, it can seem very over the top-that’s just who they are-loud.

Cons (1) you can be fired easily (2) unemployment is practically non-existent (3) There is no free health care- and health care is very expensive, approx. $10,000 a day if you end up in hospital for a “check-up”.
