Depending on the type of pollutant, pollution can be classified into three categories: physical pollution, chemical pollution and biological pollution .
There are two kinds of pollution : organic pollution of natural origin (gas, mineral or organic substances, bacteria, viruses, plankton, clay particles, vegetable waste) and chemical pollution originating from human activities.
