I was walking through the dense forest, I was lost. Even if I was tall for only beeing ten years old, I could not see over the trees, and my home! I kept on walking, wishing my phone was with me, after all, it was the first day of the year 2020, and I wanted to call home. All night I had slept in a tree, but I was hungry, and I wantedd to get home. "How hard can it be?" I told myself, but it seemed I couldn't get reconforted. After about a miles distance, birds flew away, and I could hear them squeaking in fear. "It's probably just a farm cat!" I told myself, and I believed it too. Then I heard was sounded like a "miaow", but it was closer to a roar. I was really afraid. Then out of a bush in front of me, a wild mountain lion jumped in front of me, and roared. It looked at me in the eyes for one long minute, and I thought it mean't he was going to attack. But, much to my surprise, it started purring, and he rubbed his back on my legs. I was still terrified.

For one long hour, I walked with him through the forest. Then he led me to the mountain were he lived, and I saw his wife, and his kittens. They wre very cute, but beside them, I noticed a gun. Hunters had tried to kidnap those mountain lions, for their skin! "They are so mean" I told myself. That one male mountain lion had tried to protect his family, and he had got quite exited.

Later on, I followed him during my second night in the wilderness, and he was going towards a farm. There, he stole two chickens, and I stayed at the farm outside the door till morning. When I woke up, the sunrise had begun, and a fat old lady opened the door : "Oh lad, what are you doing. Wait! you're a girl! What are you doing here! Come on in and explain". So I went inside and she called my parents. I've never got lost in the forest since, anyways I only went back twice, but that was to visit my wild friends!
