A garden mesures 70 m long and 48 m wide.
We want to surround this garden with a 2.1 m high wall (30 cm thick).
'The wall will be built on the garden ground.
How many bricks will be needed if 1 m° requires approximately 300 bricks?

S(petit 1) =a⋅ b=70⋅ 48=3360 m2

S(petit2) =(a−2 x h)x (b−2⋅ h)=(70−2 x 0.3)x (48−2 x 0.3)= 82239 sur 25 = 3289 (espace) 14 sur 25= 3289,56 m2

V=(S(petit 1) −S(petit2))⋅ c=(3360−3289.56) x 2.1=147.924 m


n=⌈300 x V⌉=⌈300x 147.924⌉=44378
