Oscar Wilde is a poet born on October 16th 1854 in Dublin. He released his first volume of poetry in 1881, by the publisher Bogue. His first play, Vera, which was also supposed to premiere this year got canceled. He married Constance Lloyd in 1884, and published " The picture of Dorian Gray" seven years later in 1891. A year later in 1892, his play "Salome" got banned in England. And it was in 1895 that he got sentenced to two years in prison after the performance of his play "The importance of being Earnest". He ended up passing away on the tenth of November, 1900 in Paris.
