"should" est un verbe de modalité qui exprime le conseil. Il correspond en français au verbe "devoir".
"shouldn't" est la contraction de "should not" qui signifie le fait de ne pas recommander quelque chose.
Dans une phrase déclarative, il se place en seconde position, derrière le sujet. Dans une question fermée (réponse en oui ou non) il se place en première position, comme tous les verbes de modalités.
