Bonjour,
Réponse :
En anglais pour dire que quelque chose appartient à quelqu'un, on peut dire:
The crocodile belongs to Haylay. ( Le crocolile appartient à Halay )
The alligator belongs to Haylay.
The bird belongs to Josh.
The snake belongs to Eva.
The reindeer ( le renne ) belongs to Morris.
The deer ( le cerf ) belongs to Morris.
Mais on utilise aussi le génitif. ( cas possessif ) et c'est ce qui est demandé dans l'exercice :
The crocodile belongs to Haylay. = It is Haylay's crocodile . ( = C'est le crocodile de Haylay )
The alligator belongs to Haylay.= It is Halay's alligator.
The bird belongs to Josh. = It is Josh's bird.
The snake belongs to Eva. = It is Eva's snake.
The reindeer ( le renne ) belongs to Morris. = It is Morris's reindeer.
The deer ( le cerf ) belongs to Morris = It's Morris's deer
