The nomination of Kamala Harris as vice president is new and important because, firstly she's a woman. Kamala is the first woman who has access to the vice-presidency since the beginning of democracy in USA. Secondly Ms. Harris is black (and indian). She's the second black person, after Barack Obama, to reach a high political post. So Madam the vice president of United States can give hope to women and black community on their importance within the country.
