Résumé:
Since childhood, Hazel has had breathing problems, forcing her to wear an oxygen tube at all times. On the advice of her mother, she attends a support group, where she meets Augustus, who lost a leg to cancer. Charismatic and sure of himself, the young man quickly becomes close to Hazel, showing him the bright side of things. He even manages to track down his new friend's favorite writer, planning a trip to Amsterdam to meet him.
