Bonjour,

Dr. King and Mrs. King married on June 18, 1953 in Alabama. The wedding ceremony was held on the lawn of Scott's house in Marion, Alabama. Senior Pastor King served as the etiquette, and Mrs. King’s sister Mrs. Edythe Bagley  was the honorary maid, and Brother Pastor AD King served as a best man.

Coretta had the vow to obey her husband removed from the ceremony, which was very unusual in the 1950s. According to the New York Times, “the 350 guests, elegant big-city folks from Atlanta and rural neighbors from Alabama, made it the biggest wedding, white or black, the area had ever seen.”

However, Mrs. Jin will soon understand that when she married Dr. Jin, she not only married a man, but also a movement. Mrs. King recalled: “After we married, I came to the realization that we had been thrust into the forefront of a movement to liberate oppressed people, and this movement had worldwide implications. I felt blessed to have been called to be a part of such a noble and historic cause.”

Later the king had four children, Yolanda Denise was born in 1955, Martin Luther III, 1957, Dexter Scott in 1961 Scott, and 1963 Bernice Albertine. Dr. King wanted his wife to focus on raising four children, while Mrs, King wanted to play a more open leadership role. However, Mrs. King made sacrifices to support her husband's vision while protecting the safety of her children.

Voila, j'esprere que sa vous aides
