Malala was born on July 12, 1997 in Pakistan. She fought against the local Taliban because they were banning the girls from attending school. Before she was attacked on her way to school, she had given speeches, explaining how the Taliban had taken away her basic right to education so she stared a blog and she also received a lot of prizes. She received a ‘’Pakistan’s first National Youth Peace Prize’’ on December 2014. On October 9, 2012, she almost died when a Taliban gunman fired at her, she woke up in hospital and she discovered that she had been flown from Pakistan to the U.K. She has been living in Birmingham ever since.
