En anglais,  il y a =  "there is" si on parle au singulier (ex : there is a cat in the garden)

                                = 'there are" si l'on parle au pluriel (ex : there are two cats in the garden)

 

Il n'y a pas = "there isn't" au singulier

                       "there aren't" au pluriel
