Bonjour
(on conjugue "be " au prétérit (was/were) + BV -ing
1- Were you having dinner when I rang ?
2- He lost his job three years ago.
3- I was dreaming when you woke me up.
4- She wasn't washing her hair when you arrived.
5- How fast was he driving when the police stopped him ?
6- Last Sunday I didn't go out with my friends.
7- Harris was jogging in the park when he met Mary.
8- Did they win the match yesterday ?
9- Meg was reading and Matthew was playing when the boss opened the door.
10- What was she doing when she heard the scream ?
11- We were dancing when they came in.
12- Where were they standing when the bomb exploded.
13- The Evans were driving to London when they went out of petrol.
14- You didn't drink beer last night.
15- When I opened the door, they were making a lot of noise.
16- Sue was singing and Sam and Sally were chatting when a fire broke out.
17- It wasn't raining when they had an accident.
18- My sisters were watching TV when it started snowing.
19- When he first met her, she was sitting alone.
20- Mum and Dad were swimming when they saw a shark.
