Hitting someone who did nothing to you is bullying because the person did nothing to provoke you.
Insulting someone/calling someone names is bullying because thos names could be very mean and hurt them.
Spreading rumors about someone is bullying because those rumors could make them lose friends or stop them from succeding.
Refusing to talk to someone because he was rude to you is not bullying because the other peoson was being mean, so you decide not to talk to them.
playing tricks on someone on april fools is not bullying as long as the jokess are harmless because it's for fun and not to hurt or embarass someone.
