Complète ces phrases en utilisant un génitif.

Ex : Zamia has a green bike.
I borrowed ...... bike once.
- I borrowed Zamia's bike once.


1. My children have many toys. But....... toys are cheap.
2. Your sister has a nice motorbike. I'd love to ride.......... motorbike.
3. The Browns have two swimming pools! Have you ever seen............ swimming pools?
4. The tennis players made a few mistakes. I could understand ..........mistakes, they were so tired.​

Explications :

Le génitif ( ou cas possessif )

--- le possesseur se met avant ce qui est possédé

- On ajoute " 's " entre les deux

 I borrowed Zamia's bike once.

J'ai emprunté le vélo de Zamia une fois.

--- Lorsque le possesseur est pluriel :

- on ne met que l'apostrophe ( phrases 3 et 4 )

remarque, contrairement au français, on met un "s" aux noms de famille lorsqu'on les met au pluriel

Anglais : The Browns

Français : Les Brown

- sauf pour les pluriels irréguliers ( comme "children" phrase 1 )
