Disagreement does not necessarily mean being rude
When I talk to people who fear disagreement, and ask them why they are reluctant to speak up, the answer is often that they don't want to hurt other people's feelings or think they are tasteless. In fact, some people may not want you to disagree, like your boss who doesn't trust his abilities. In contrast, most people are open to a different perspective if you share your ideas thoughtfully and respectfully. With this in mind, you should ask yourself: Can you really hurt your coworker's feelings or are you projecting your discomfort onto others?
