Bonjour,

Last week as usual, Heritage Day was a big day of celebration and lots of
people joined the festivities.
I had a lot of fun. All the women put on traditional outfits and danced to
traditional music. Everybody laughed and clapped their hands as the
dancing became jovial. We also ate traditional food and sang songs. And
there were different games and competitions. My sister and her friends
won the Zulu dance competition.
1. People didn’t celebrate Heritage Day before 1995.
2. South Africa didn’t become independant in 1994.
3. In the 20th century, Robben Island wasn’t a museum.
Explications :
Mettre au prétérit :
- verbes réguliers : on ajoute "ed" ( et on double la consonne finale si besoin )
- verbes irréguliers : par coeur
Mettre à la forme négative :
- Tous les verbes ( sauf "be" ) : didn't + base verbale
- "be" : wasn't ( was not ) // weren't ( were not )
