Bonjour,

1. I had never heard about the Gold Rush.

2. He had never thought that there was gold until he found a nugget.

3. Prospectors had heard about gold so they decided to go west to get rich.

4. Nobody had imagined that Facebook would be such a success!

1. Don Lee had grown up in China before he moved to California.

2. She told us that she had worked as a farmer when she was younger.

3. When we arrived, others had already found gold.

4. At night, they talked about what they had done during the day.

5. The Joads travelled to California because they had lost everything they owned.
