a)New Orleans is the birthplace of jazz as it was the only place of the new world where slaves could possess percussions, and that is how jazz was born within the afro-american community
b) They all have a common point, they are all characterized by the use of blue notes, swung notes and syncopated rhythms. They also involve the same instruments such as, guitar, piano, bass, saxophone, trumpet and drums.
