Bansky is well-know since 1993, and here are the informations we know :
- Banksy was born on 1974 in the United-Kingdom.
- He made his debut as an artist at the age of fourteen,
- At the beginning of Bansky's career, his work was mostly done freehand. It is only in the early 2000s that his use of stencils develops.
- Banksy made a buzz and it is loved to such an extent in 2007, that Banksy won the "Art's Greatest Living Briton" award. Of course he didn't go in person (to not reveel his identity) to collect his prize.
- His artworks have for goal to convey a message : social injustice, our society's flaws and an political message.
- His most famous artwork is the one of the little girl reaching for a heart-shaped balloon carried by the wind. This artwork have for goal to say that we must keep hope. He wants to raise awareness about the atrocities of war.
- Banksy created a universe around him, a universe that allows him to deliver his messages with strength, humour and subtlety white a provocative style.

For the first time a torn work is worth much more than some classic work. For 2.8 million dollars, he installed a mechanism to tear the painting in two and play a prank on everyone. Nobody will have the original work ,which I think makes the work even more touching .
