- "Slaves" is a big big big word. --> society wants women to be beautiful (adverts, magazines, ...), to be well dressed and wear make up --> so women will buy clothes/make up, they can feel "forced"
NO
- Today most women are not as influenced as they could have been before. They know that they don't HAVE TO be well dressed. They manage to free themselves from the fashion diktat.
