M. Abraham Lincoln had just won the war for the Union against the Confederacy. He decided to go to the Ford’s theater on the night of the 14th April 1865.
He did not suspect that he would lose his life on this fateful night. John Wilkes Booth was a supporter of the Confederacy. The Confederacy represented all the southern states who wanted to secede from the Unites States.
Abraham Lincoln grew up in a log cabin. He had very humble beginning. In sprite of that he managed to become the 16th President of the United States.
Lincoln is known, for having passed the XIIIth amendment to the Constitution. This was the main cause of the Civil War. Lincoln was killed by John Wilkes Booth on the 14th of April 1865.
