Réponse :

London, the capital of England and the United Kingdom, is a modern city with a history dating back to Roman times. In its centre stands the imposing Parliament, the iconic Big Ben and Westminster Abbey, the crowning place of the British monarchs. On the other side of the Thames, the London Eye, the Ferris wheel, offers panoramic views of the South Bank Center, and the entire city.

Big Ben:

The idea of creating a bell tower originated in a contest launched after a fire in 1834 that had destroyed part of the parliament. The Big Ben bell weighed 13.5 tons, that alone.... And it sounded for the first time on May 31, 1859. It can be heard up to six kilometres away.

The symbols of London are:

- The Tudor Rose The Tudor Rose is the traditional heraldic floral emblem of England and takes its name from the Tudor Dynasty.

- Britannia Britannia is the female personification of Britain, the British Empire or the United Kingdom, just as Marianne is the personification of the French Republic and Columbia is the personification of the United States.

- The thistle And in Scotland, since the 15th century, the thistle remains the symbol of defence. In the end, the three flowers (pink, clover, thistle) often appear on the royal coats of arms of the United Kingdom
