Aux formes interrogatives et négatives, on emploie le prétérit de l'auxiliaire DO > DID.
Le verbe reste alors dans sa Base Verbale, puisque c'est l'auxiliaire qui prend la marque du prétérit (past simple)

Did + sujet + Base Verbale + ?
Négation
Sujet+ did + not + Base Verbale
did not = didn't.
