Quand [tex]\displaystyle\lim_{x \to x_0} f(x)=\pm \infty[/tex], la courbe de f admet une asymptote verticale d'équation [tex]x=x_0[/tex]
Ici on a [tex]\displaystyle\lim_{x \to 1} f(x)=+ \infty[/tex] et [tex]\displaystyle\lim_{x \to 4} f(x)=- \infty[/tex] donc la courbe de f admet 2 asymptotes verticales l'une d'équation [tex]x=1[/tex] et l'autre d'équation [tex]x=4[/tex]
