Bullying behavior is a serious problem among young people, with almost half of young people reporting being bullied in the past 12 months, and about two-thirds reporting seeing someone else be victim of bullying in school (Department for Education, 2017). If not treated effectively, it can have long-term negative consequences for health and well-being (Wolke & Lereya, 2015). It is therefore clear that we must work together to combat bullying behavior.
The Diana Award Anti-Bullying Ambassador Program provides informative and interactive anti-bullying training days for youth and staff in primary and secondary schools. The Diana Award follow-up team then provides ongoing support to help the school's anti-bullying campaigns be successful.
