Peggy was taken from her village in Africa when she was a child. On the plantation, the little girl and the other slaves were not punished by the master. Then, she was rented to a violent mistress. There, Peggy was whipped every day. To escape, she was locked in a crate by two friends and she was sent to Philadelphia. Peggy was not caught by her slave owners.
