a) Trois choses qu'ils devaient faire: They had to work in steel mills, factories with machines, in mines, etc. The kids also had to work long hours a day without any breaks. Finally, they were obliged to work as many were orphans who were able to eat money because of working everyday.
b) Deux choses qu'ils n'avaient pas le droit de faire: The children there weren't allowed to escape or run away as the doors were often locked to keep workers from escaping (active since triangle shirtwaist fire) and they weren't able to have a childhood. Indeed, the kids were deprived from their childhood as they worked everyday just to be able to eat. Kids during these times never really had time to enjoy their youngness and all the happiness in them. Child labor changed them mentally and physically in a way they would never go back to the happy little kid living their dream
c) Deux ou trois choses qu'ils font a l’école: I think the first thing they would do would be to listen to every instruction of the teacher as the teacher was kinda like the boss of the room just like the patron of a business so they would get scared of the consequences if they didn't listen. Finally, I think they would be surprised to get a lunch break and to be able to go to the bathroom as they never really had these when they were working.
