Most young people spend more than half of their day on their phones, laptops, computers, or iPads, and even though they don't realize it, this is affecting their lives. When they were younger, our parents would spend their days outside playing with friends, do homework, or simply draw. However, nowadays young people stay at home and watch something. Yes although technology might be helpful and can be used in great ways, it limits a person's imaginations, creativity, and ability to think on their own. Today if you have a question you can just google it and the answer will come to you but that isn't always a good thing. By limiting a person's screen time you can encourage them to think of ways to entertain themselves. This way said person can be productive instead, by doing homework, reading a book, or hanging out with their friends. While all of these tasks sound boring or simple, they are crucial to a human being's development. Reading, for example, not only develops our imagination but also adds much more vocabulary and knowledge to us. You can also improve your skills at figuring things out on your own because someday a time will come where technology won't be able to help you and save you from the situation you're in. Phones can become an addiction but I believe that if used reasonably there should be no problem. But not everyone can control and limit themselves.
