Pour conjugué au prétérit il suffit de rajouter ed à la terminaison de tes verbes entre parenthèse sauf si il s'agit de verbe irrégulier ou la tu dois les savoir par cœur normalement

Explications :

Pour t'aider, tu peux penser à utiliser le prétérit be + v-ing quand c'est une action passée qui dure un certain temps, du genre "j'étais en train de faire ça".

Et pendant cette action, il se passe une autre action plus brève : "c'est alors qu'il se passa ça". Là, on utilise le prétérit tout seul (et ça malheureusement il faut étudier tous les verbes irréguliers, mais ça vient avec le temps!).

--> I was doing (something), when (something) happened.

ou --> (Something) happened when I was doing (something).
