Art has always been associated with power. Every people who made art, were seen as having special powers. They had the ability to create shapes and forms and to bring them to reality. Indeed, they had the power to create images, objects from different materials. they used stones to create some amazing sculpture looking almost real. Their special skills allowed them to transform and give life.. Art was a way to give a meaning to their creation of an unseen world,exerting influence over the well being. Artists and their creations are considered to be magical, supernatural and extraordinary.
In the ancient Greek, the power of the artists were coming from the muse.they were inspired to write, sculpt and compose. Also, during the renaissance,the word "genius" was related to Art. We can also associate art for being Realistic, absurd and abstract, depending on the artist and his vision. Printing,drawing and sculpting were technical and difficult. We can add to the power of the artist,the power of art. Throughout centuries,arts took a phenomenal place in people lives. Printers were associated with politics, important figures such as Napoleon were having their portraits done and given as gift to King Charles of Spain in 1800s.
Art is a way to express yourself and things surrounding you. It was used during war to depict the atrocity of a bloody war. Art definitely has been considered to have special and mysterious power.
