1. I think this is an event that has changed the vision of the United States, of the conditions of African-American people on American soil. The discrimination of black and mixed-race people, which is denounced by all those who support the Black Lives Matter movement, unfortunately it was a dramatic event that showed the whole world the racism and discrimination present in America, personally, I think that the death of George Floyd is a dramatic element for the African-American community and at the same time an opportunity to open the eyes of the American government. It is an event that is seen as a revolution and something important for the future of the United States.

2. I know about the beginning of slavery in the United States began in 1619, shortly after the settlement of the first British settlers, and continued until 1865 with the adoption of the Thirteenth Amendment to the American Constitution, an amendment that officially abolished and prohibited slavery in the country. Slaves worked on sugar cane, tobacco and cotton plantations and were in the service of their slave owners. Their living conditions were particularly difficult and very often led to death.

I know about President Lincoln, who on March 6, 1862, declared himself in favour of emancipation, and slavery was definitively abolished in 1900.

I know about Rosa Parks in 1955, in an America torn apart by racial segregation, Rosa Parks refused to give up her seat on a bus to a white passenger. Arrested by the police and fined, she appealed her sentence and became the muse of a national civil rights movement.

And I know about Martin Luther King who said I have a dream, which is the name given to the speech given on 28 August 1963 by the American pastor and activist Martin Luther King in Washington during the March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom.
