Rosa Parks was an American civil rights activist born on February 4, 1913 in the United States. She became famous after refusing to give up her seat to a white man in a bus in Montgomery. Her action lead to the Montgomery bus boycott, this boycott is one of the action that started the civil rights movement in the U.S. She sadly passed away on October 24, 2005.
Katherine Johnson:
Katherine Johnson was an American mathematician born on August 26, 1918 in the United States. Her work for the NASA helped the success of the first U.S. spaceflight, she was also one of the first African-American woman to work as a NASA scientist. She died on February 24, 2020.
