Si le verbe est un auxiliaire, la négation se construit avec not (ou avec la contraction en -n't), et sans l'auxiliaire 'do/does/did' : She cannot know the truth.

Forme négative = sujet + didn't ( = did not ) + base verbale

Attention avec le verbe "be" ( was/were au prétérit ) car ils est auxiliaire donc on ne met pas did

==> The children didn't study the history of Thanksgiving yesterday.

2. We saw a good detective film on TV last night.
