The subject is the global warming and its problems.
Question 1 :
a) Global warning is caused by the buildup of greenhouse cases.
b) Weather extremes, like large snowstorms or flooding, are more and more frequent.
c) Agriculture, coastal communities, ecosystems, and water supplies are affected too by the global warming.
Question 2 :
a) The GB countries decided in 2009 to reduce global emissions 50% by 2050.
b) Fast-growing emerging countries, like for example India or China, didn't agree. They opposed limiting their emissions.
Question 3 :
The "climate divide" is the difference between rich and poor countries. Rich countries, like for example United States, have big emission of carbon dioxide per person in tons per years (more than 20) while poor countries, like India for example, have a smaller emission of carbon dioxide per person in tons per years (2).
Question 4 :
The poorest countries' situations are very complicated. Indeed, they're the most exposed and the worst hit by the climate change but they have done the least to cause the problem. They need help from rich countries.
