Salut, j'ai un devoirs d'anglais à faire pour la rentrée et je ne suis pas très bon en anglais. Est ce que qqn pourrait corriger mes fautes ou bien m'aider à les corriger stp ?

Since 1999, series are very popular. The place of these series can sometimes take a great importance in our lives, we talk about them at work, at school, with friends or at the table. However, we can ask ourselves within the frameworks of series "How can historical TV series influence our vision of the past". This is why we will first look at how it transforms our way of looking at the past. Then, some of the consequences they can have (positive or negative csq)

An historical speech is always on questions of the present that we project onto the past. Today, we live in a civilization of the image. And these quality television series respond to this need for images. Indeed, they offer a visualization of the past that draws our attention to elements that the written word did not emphasize. For example, in "The Knick", there are historical figures, such as the paramedics, who were previously forgotten in historical discourse. They appear because the directors of "The Knick" worked on medical postcards of the time and realized that they were fundamental to the organization of a hospital. This visualization of the past brings out new figures, new objects, and it transforms the way we look at the past. Moreover, we also find this influence on the past in the field of war. In many series such as Viking the vision we have of the Vikings, is that of proud sailors without fear having traveled through Europe for centuries. With only 3 women (slaug, siggy and lagertha) among the 25 main characters, our brain is formatted in such a way that we associate the Viking with "man". Nevertheless, previous excavations have long since shown that not all Viking warriors were men. Indeed, we find in Irish texts of the 10th century the story of Inghen Ruaidh, a woman who is among the greatest Viking. In spite of their realism, these series are therefore to be watched with consideration.

At present, series are very popular among young people (15-24). As a result, they influence them in their behaviour, in their social relationships and in their perception of things. Indeed, we have the case of Iwan Rheon (Ramsay Snow). This one, who lost in popularity between his role in the Misfit and Game of Thrones series, received numerous death threats because of his role in the series. There are many cases in the cinema where the influence on the streamer leads to this reasoning. So, when it comes to past history, it is important to know how to consume the content with a critical eye. There is the Narcos series in particular, which one can be look with critical eye. In the series, many people can't completely blame Escobar, despite the many crimes he committed. Many people see Pablo Escobar like a genius, so he is now considered as a symbol of social ascension among some young people. Sometimes peolple want to take him like a source of inspiration but forget he is a criminel. On the other hand, the influence on the streamer can also be beneficial. In the Figures of the Shadows, it shows the extraordinary destiny of three African-American scientists. Having made it possible to take the head of the space conquest in the USA, the black woman is then seen as a hero. This film allows us to see to what extent the lives of women, especially black women, could be complicated at the time. A lot of respect space is given to her in the film. Finally, some films such as Exodus exerts an influence of the intellectual order. By spreading the adventures of Moses, this film offers us the knowledge of a (probable) past and also exerts an educational influence. These films and series thus make it possible to retrace what has already been done by man so as not to make the same mistakes.

We conclude that the very great strength of these series is to impose a credible imagery of the past, a plausible visualization of the past. This was not the case before. Today, the reconstruction is so well done that one has the impression of being in it. These series therefore impose a quality visualization of the past, which does not prevent them from also including a certain number of anachronisms.
