An arson attack was declared in a high school in Seine-Saint-Denis (93).
A headmistress set fire to the school in the middle of the school day, 27 pupils were left with burns on their bodies, a 16 year old student "là tu mets ton prénom", is currently on life support, in a coma. When the headmistress was questioned, she said "I did it because the state doesn’t want to provide aid to high schools in the suburbs, because they find it uninteresting and prefer to invest in the high schools of rich children. Burning down the school was the strongest way I could find to express my disagreement. Will the state react now ?!"
More than 900 pupils are now out of school. Julie Karton, a pupil from 1B testifies "I think it's quite stupid because if she wanted to defend her pupils, the first thing she would do would be not to try to kill them...". Mrs. Dupont, a science teacher is distraught "it doesn't make sense, there is another way to express her hatred, 900 students are left without a school to study, we're going to have to be confined and work at a distance and not because of the coronavirus but because of a school principal...".
This news has been the subject of several mockeries on social networks such as twitter. In a few hours she became an icon (they laugh at her). The headmistress risks 10 years imprisonment and a 150.000 euros fine. The pupils are still shocked, and did not expect it, "it was like in a film, everyone was running and shouting in all directions".
Other school staff agree with her "I think it's very brave of the headmistress, she wanted to break all the stereotypes that people have about suburban students by making noise, and talk about it in the media.
