Hello
Explications :
The story of the Thanksgiving holiday:
In 1620, a hundred pilgrims (Pilgrims) left England, to
aboard the Mayflower boat, to settle in the new world
(that's what America was called at the time).
They arrived in winter and many of them died from the
cold and hunger.
The following spring, the Indians (Indians or native americans), who
knew the area well because they had lived there for a long time,
helped cultivate the land and showed them the best places to
hunt. In the fall, to thank them, the pilgrims organized a
big party. The Indians brought game and turkeys.
In the following years, all continued to share a meal once
per year. It is in memory of this first meal that we will call this
Thanksgiving celebration which means "thank you for giving".
