a) We can see that the old brownstone building has changed. It is today a shopping place.
b) In my opinion, this change is great because Whole Food Market offers organic food to the neighbourhood. But I also think most inhabitants can’t afford to shop there because it’s too expensive for them.
c) When we look at the picture, we can say that the old building was a part of the real Harlem. The new one has changed the face of the neighbourhood.

( Pour l'auteur, la complexité de Harlem vient de ce qu'elle représente. Harlem, c'est à la fois un quartier d'immigrants qui ont fuit l'oppression, un lieu pour certains de douleurs et souffrance. Mais c'est aussi le lieu de naissance de tellement de poésie, de musiaque et de beauté ( référence à sa richesse culturelle et aux artistes qui sont originaires de Harlem )
B/ The use of « be + V-ing » underline the fact that the change is in process at the moment the writer makes his description.
( L'utilisation de be + V-ing, souligne le fait que le changement est en cours, il n'est pas terminé. L'auteur fait une description de ce qui est entrain de se passer )
C/ The writer fears that this change may transform the inner identity of Harlem. « the fun times together are doomed » : he is afraid that people from different backgrounds would no longer share what used to make Harlem spirit.
