Ed was born Edward Christopher Sheeren on 17th February 1991. He grew up in Halifax, England, until his family moved to Framingham in Suffolk.
His father was Irish and music was a part of their lives.
In his childhood, Ed sang in a choir and played the cello. When his uncle offered him a guitar, he started guitar lessons.
At 11 he attended a concert and felt in the mood for music.
