a-The Maori came from Polynesia, they arrived in New Zealand in the 1200s.
b-Indeed there are many Maori tribes and subtribes, what they have in common is their heritage. Heritage is what stands out and keeps them welded throughout their shared culture.
c-We can find aspects of their culture in traditional dances, the spoken language, their distinct way of crafting and storytelling.

a-It is said about the kapa haka that it is a war dance, often criticized by people who assume it is causing violence among the Maori.
b-The Maori encounter a problem of poor health and a lower life expectancy then any other average person. People tend to think that it is a genetic disease.

There was a big change, the Maori were regarded as violent and criminal people, for that, they were not really respected or considered. But now everything has taken a turn, although racism towards them still exists, they are more respected by others. Their own state of mind has also changed, they decided to stop all violence and focus on things that are more valuable in life.
