TON PRENOM TON ECOLE LA DATE

Hi Maggy,

Happy 50th Earth Day to everyone from P.E.I. Sierra Club! Even though we can't hold our Family Earth Expo this week, we invite Islanders to do

Earth Week activities at home. Just as we would have at the expo, maybe you'll want to plant some seeds, make some clothesline art, sing some fun songs, or read some nature storybooks. Or just use your creativity for other ways to celebrate nature and take action to protect our Earth.

And don't forget to go for a walk or bicycle ride — good for your health, cost-efficient, and zero emissions. Researchers at Harvard had this to say about that sunshine, fresh air, and green space (1): “The benefits of getting outside vastly outweigh the risk of getting infected in a park.” (Of course practise physical distancing, minimize contact with surfaces, and wash your hands before and after.)

As our friend Raffi's song says, "There’s a big beautiful planet in the sky ... The earth is our home, it’s where we live ... Nature’s gift to help us carry on".

Yours for a clean healthy future,

TON PRENOM
