Bonsoir,

We usually speak in different ways to different people. In many languages there are at least two different words for 'you'

-Is your language like this ?
-If so, when do you use the fromal 'you' and when do you use the informal 'you' ?

Sagot :

Hey! Yes we do have two you!

The formal you is "vous" and is usually used when you're talking to a stranger or like, an elder person as well. That's a form of politeness, That's it!

The informal you is "Tu" and is commonly used when you're speaking to someone you know, friends, family etc

If you use "Tu" to someone you don't know at all, some people could take it as rude!

So yeah, hope it was clear ~
