Good morning everyone,
Today I would like to talk about the David Suzuki Foundation. This organization is working to protect the environment and find sustainable solutions for Canada. They already have launched a couple of successful campaigns such as the Butterflyway Project that consisted of creating networks of citizen-led pollinator corridors. I really think every country should focus on pollinators because they are essential to the natural world. In fact, over three-quarters of wild flowering plants and one-third of the food we eat depend on insect pollination. This is why today I would like to introduce you to their new project : Bee- BnB ! Bee-bnd hosts are going to provide essential amenities for their guests such as planting wildflowers, small water sources and nesting places. They are not going to use any harmful chemicals in their garden. Encouraging citizens to improve their gardens to host insects is a good way to have a sustainable environment and I think we should all get involved !
