Explications :

Avec le PAST PERFECT c’est l’action qui est le plus important

Avec le PAST PERFECT PROGRESSIF  c’est plus la durée de l’action qui est importante

Past Perfect Progressif

Forme affirmative = Sujet + HAD BEEN + Base verbale en ING

Forme négative = Sujet + HAD NOT ( HADN’T ) BEEN + Base verbale en ING

Forme Interrogative = HAD + Sujet + BEEN + Base verbale en ING ?

Past Perfect

Forme affirmative = Sujet + HAD + Participe Passé ( 3 ème colonne verbes irréguliers )

Forme négative = Sujet + HADN’ T ( HAD NOT ) + Participe Passé

Forme interrogative + HAD + Sujet + Participe Passé ?

Remarques :

- Il n’existe pas de Past Perfect Progressif pour le verbe «  BE » on met donc du Past perfect .

- Les adverbes ( JUST  ( phrase 5 )/ ALREADY ( phrase 6)/ ALWAYS /….. ) se mettent avant BEEN
