Spending some time abroad for a year can be a wonderful experience and each one of the four options listed, are wonderful opportunities to learn about new cultures too.
Explications :
1) Volunteering for a charity in Asia: Asia is the largest continent in the world and has more than 4 billion people living in it. 2 of the 4 billion are in China and India. Asia has a lot of variety in terms of languages, culture and natural beauty. Although there are a number of modern cities, most of Asians live in rural areas that are poor, under developed and lacking proper medical care. There are different ways that you can volunteer by helping build water wells or build houses for people, or teach math or science to children in schools.
2) The US has some of the best universities in the world such as Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Stanford University. There are thousands more colleges and universities in the Us and all provide great education and a lot of independence to students. Studying in the US can help you not only learn English faster but it will also give you the opportunity to better understand the American people and their culture as well as build life long friendships with some Americans or other foreign students visiting America too. Studying in the US will also give you the opportunity to travel and visit places like New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco or Miami and to appreciate the diversity of those places..
3) Canada is a very large country with beautiful natural sceneries from coast to coast. If you enjoy backpacking, traveling through Canada’s natural land, can be like walking through a dream. There are majestic mountains in the West, miles of beautiful open lands in the central region, the large and powerful Niagara Falls in the East and much, much more. Because Canada is next door to the US, sometime people think that it is similar to America, but Canada and Canadians have a very unique culture.. For one, it has two official national languages: English and French. Honestly, Canada offers the best of Europe and the US, all in one place.
4) Farming in New Zealand would be one of the best opportunities because in New Zealand, agricultural farming is one of the most respected and profitable jobs in the country. New Zealand produces a high volume of sheeps and is currently the world’s 8th largest producer of milk, delivering about 2.2% of the world’s milk production from cattle farming. New Zealand also has beautiful landscapes and has a population that is very welcoming to foreigners.
