Rosa Parks

Nixon. In her part in the association, she declared:” I was the only women
there, and they needed a secretary, and I was too shy to say no”. She keeps
this office until 1957 when she left the city of Montgomery. At the start of
1945, she had briefly a job at air base of Maxwell, a federal area, where
segregation didn’t take place :”We can say that the situation at Maxwell opened
my eyes”. She is also maid for a liberal couple, Clifford and Virginia Durr,
who hit it off with her and encourage her to train (pas sure du train, au pire
met “have a forming”)on the worker’s rights and racial equality at the Highlander
Folk school at Monteagle (Tennessee), six months before her nabbing.
